Tension
28sts x 40 rows =10cm/4 inches using 3mm (US #3) needles over striped stocking stitch.
Pattern Notes
Stripe pattern
Worked in stocking stitch
Row 1: Using yarn A, knit.
Row 2: Using yarn A, purl.
Row 3: Using yarn B, knit.
Row 4: Using yarn B, purl.
Carry yarns up side of work.
These 4 rows form the basic pattern used throughout.
Abbreviations
k2tog - knit two stitches together, as though one stitch.
k2togtbl - as k2tog, but place right hand needle through back loop of both stitches.
m1 - Pick up horizontal strand before next stitch and knit into it, thus making an additional stitch.
Back
Cast on 121(129, 135, 143, 151) sts, using 2.25mm (US #1) needles and yarn C.
Row 1: (k1, p1) rep to last st, k1.
Row 2: As Row 1.
Change to yarn A and repeat the last 2 rows once more.
Change to 3mm (US #3) needles and commencing with yarn A and row 1 work in stripe pattern as set for 8 rows.
On next row, and every foll 6 th row work decrease as follows:
k1, k2tog ,k to last 3sts, k2togtbl, k1.
Continue until 107 (115, 121, 129, 137) sts remain.
Work 9 rows without shaping.
On next row and every foll 8 th row work increases as follows:
k1, m1, k to last 2sts, m1, k1.
Continue until 117 (125 ,131, 141, 149)sts.
Now increase on every foll 6 th row until 121 (129, 135, 143, 151)sts.
Continue without further shaping until back measures 33 (34, 34, 35, 35)cm ending with a WS row.
Armhole shaping
Cast off 8sts at beg of next 2 rows 105 (113, 119, 127, 135)sts.
Working all decreases as before, shape raglans as follows:
First, second, and third sizes only
Dec 1 st at each end of every other row 21 (29, 35) times, then on every 4 th row 7 (3, 0) times until 49sts rem.
Fourth and fifth sizes only
Dec 1 st at each end of next 7 (17) rows then on every foll alt row until 49sts rem.
All sizes
Work 1 row, ending with a WS row. Place sts on holder.
Front
Work as for back until armhole shaping.
Armhole and raglan shaping
Cast off 8sts at beg of next 2 rows. Work decreases as for back but on 3 rd and 4 th row only, replace either yarn A or B with yarn C and work 2 rows. Continue as set for back.
Right Sleeve

Cuff A
Cast on 36sts using 2.25mm (US #1) needles and yarn C.
Row 1: (k1, p1) rep to end.
Row 2: (p1, k1) rep to end.
Row 3: Join in yarn A (k1, p1) to last 4sts., rejoin yarn C, (k1, p1) twice.
Row 4: Using yarn C, (p1, k1) twice, using yarn A, (p1, k1) rep to end.
Change to 3mm (US #3) needles.
Row 5: Join in yarn A, knit to last 4sts., using yarn C, (k1, p1)twice.
Row 6: Using yarn C, (p1, k1) twice, using yarn A, purl to end.
Row 7: As Row 5, but yarn B instead of yarn A.
Row 8: As Row 6, but yarn B instead of yarn A.
These 4 rows set pattern. AT SAME TIME increase 1 st at side of cuff without lurex on 7 th and every foll 10 th row, (working increases as for back).
When 28 rows have been worked from cast on edge leave work on spare needle.
Cuff B
Cast on 28sts using 2.25mm (US #1) needles and yarn C.
Row 1: (k1, p1) rep to end.
Row 2: (p1, k 1) rep to end.
Row 3: Change to yarn A, work as Row 1.
Row 4: Using yarn A, work as Row 2.
Change to 3mm (US #3) needles.
Row 5: Using yarn A, (k1, p1)twice, knit to end.
Row 6: Using yarn A, purl to last 4sts, (p1, k1) twice.
Row 7: Using yarn B, work as Row 5.
Row 8: Using yarn B, work as Row 6.
These 4 rows set pattern. AT SAME TIME increase 1 st at side of cuff without lurex on 7 th and every foll
10 th row, (work increases as for back).
When 28 rows have been worked in total leave to one side.
Starting with Cuff A and maintaining stripe pattern, k to last 4sts. Ktog next st on needle with first st on needle of Cuff B, rep with next 3sts. Knit rem sts on cuff B, to end of row.
Maintaining stripe pattern and now working sleeve as one piece, increase 1 st at each end of every 8 th row 13 times (85sts) and then every 6 th row 12 times (109sts).
Continue without further shaping until sleeve measures 44 (17.5) inches.
Armhole and raglan shaping
Cast off 8sts at beg of next 2 rows (93sts)
Dec 1 st at each end of next and every foll alt row until 19sts rem. Leave sts on holder.
Left sleeve
Cuff A
Cast on 36sts using 2.25mm (US #1) needles and yarn C.
Row 1: (k1, p1) rep to end.
Row 2: (p1 ,k1) rep to end.
Row 3: Using yarn C, (k1, p1) twice, using yarn A, (k1, p1) rep to end.
Row 4:Using yarn A, (p1, k1) to last 4sts, using yarn C (p1, k1) twice.
Change to 3mm (US #3) needles.
Row 5: Using yarn C, (k1, p1) twice, using yarn A, purl to end.
Row 6:. Join in yarn A, knit to last 4sts., using yarn C, (p1,k1) twice.
Row 7: As Row 5, but yarn B instead of yarn A.
Row 8: As Row 6, but yarn B instead of yarn A.

Making Up
Darn in all ends. Block pieces.
Join back and sleeve raglan seams together. Join right front raglan to right sleeve raglan.
Mark positions of 4 buttons.
Buttonband
Using 2.25mm (US #1) needles and yarn C, pick up and knit 72sts along left front raglan.
Row 1: (k1, p1) rep to end.
Row 2: *Patt 13sts, cast off 1 st, rep from * 3 times more, patt to end.
Row 3: *Patt to cast off st, turn, cast on 1 st, turn, rep from * to last buttonhole. Patt to end.
Row 4: (p1, k1) rep to end.
Cast off in rib.
Neckband
Using 2.25mm (US #1) needles and yarn C, pick up and knit 4sts across buttonband, 49sts across front, 19sts across right sleeve, 49sts across back and 19sts across left sleeve (140sts).
Row 1(WS): (p1, k1) rep to last 4sts, cast off 1 st, patt to end.
Row 2: Patt to cast off st, turn, cast on 1 st, turn, patt to end.
Row 3: (p1, k1) to end.
Row 4: (k1, p1) to end.
Cast off in rib.
Join sleeve and side seams.
Sew on buttons.
