Welcome to Issue Two of knitonthenet.com.
knitonthenet has been created by Susan and Gavin Crawford, who both work for the family printing & design business, in the North of England. Knitonthenet is a labour of love, done in both their 'spare' times; Gavin for his love of graphic and website design and Susan for her passion for knitting and knitwear design., and a desire to offer other knitters a professional and accessible source of patterns.
They are being helped along the way by enthusiastic family, particularly Dorothy, who knits for knitonthenet. The photographs are taken by friend, and professional photographer Zoe Richards, at the last minute, with no warning, and with constant good humour. Much of the knitting is done by another ever patient and willing friend, June.
This second issue of knitonthenet.com includes a wonderful selection of patterns and articles, including an interview with Jane Waller, author of 'Knitting Fashions of the 1940s' and of course, 'A Stitch In Time'. Jane and Susan have teamed up as Woolly Thinking, to make more of Jane's archive material available to other knitters.

We have received many emails from people who are knitting for charitable causes or to raise awareness of issues, and we have therefore decided to add a 'knitting for charity' page to the site, on which we will be able to give information and promote the various knitting fund and awareness raising events going on.
