Beginners Crochet Scarf

Materials
2 x 50gm balls Sirdar Firefly in Turquoise shade 894
10mm crochet hook
Finished Length
60 inches (152cm) approx.
Tension
Not Critical. Work loosely throughout.

The abbreviations and pattern for this scarf are shown initially and in black for UK terminology and below in red for US terminology.
Abbreviations
ch - chain
tr - treble
st - stitch
Pattern
Make 103 ch.
Foundation row: wk 1 tr into 4th ch from hook, then 1 tr into each ch to end. Make 3 ch for turning ch.
Following row: 1 tr into 2nd ch from hook, then 1 tr into each st to end. Make 3 ch for turning ch.
Repeat this row until 8 rows in total have been worked. On last row omit 3 turning ch and fasten off.
