Materials

Oddments of any double knit weight cotton
3.5mm crochet hook

Finished Size

The instructions given are for a 28 inch waist. Actual measurement is 52 inches.
Reduce or increase by 10 chains for every 2 inches.

UK Abbreviations

ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
tr - treble

US Abbreviations

ch - chain
ss - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet

Pattern

Make 272 ch.
Row 1: Work a dc (sc) into 2nd chain from hook, then into every ch to end.
Row 2: Work 3 turning ch. *1 tr (1 dc) into next dc (sc), 1 sc (ss) into following dc (sc), repeat from * to end.
Row 3: As row 2.
Row 4: Work 1 dc (sc) into every stitch.
Fasten off.

Making up

Cut 20 lengths of yarn, each 9 inches long. Working with two lengths of yarn together make fringing as shown in photo. Darn in any ends. Trim fringing if not level.
